Well, we went to see Dr. Gray, the orthopedic doctor, this morning. He was very nice and spent a lot of time with us, showed us the x-rays again and even put the cast on himself since Ollie was being such a cooperative patient. He said its a pretty clean break and even though its near the growth plate there is less than a 1% chance of him having any growth problems from this. He is in a long leg cast and will keep it on for a month. We have to keep him off of it through this weekend, but after that he can walk on it if he wants to. They will do repeat x-rays after the cast comes off to check the healing and then probably do some more in 6 months to a year to make sure there are not any problems. Ollie did GREAT!! He just laid still on the exam table and didn't make a peep or a wiggle while they removed the splint, examined his leg and put the cast on. He's definitely our tough guy! We are going to try taking him to school on Wednesday. When we dropped Sam off on Monday, he came in with us. He cried when we left cause he wanted to stay with his friends and teachers. I guess that's a good thing??

One Crazy Day
I knew going into Saturday that it would be crazy. It proved to be true and then some. We had Sam's birthday party at 11:00 at Incredible Pizza. It turned out to be a small group, but everyone had a good time eating pizza & cake, playing games and riding go-carts.
We rushed back to our house and stayed just long enough for Clara to eat. Then we were off to Granbury for our cousin Tyler's birthday party at 4:00. It was at a gymnastics place and the kids could run around, jump on trampolines, jump in the foam pit, etc. Everyone had a good time, except Ollie. See below...
Sam got a lot of Toy Story stuff which is what he wanted. He got a 2-wheeled Toy Story scooter from Mom & Dad. He also finally got the Toy Story DVDs that we've been waiting for them to be re-released. He got some fun Toy Story toys, a few good books and some other fun toys. Thanks everyone for making his birthday great!!
The trampolines at the gymnastics place were set into the floor, so you can just walk right onto them. Ollie made a beeline for one that our niece was jumping on and before anyone could get to him, he got bounced pretty hard. He ended up with a fractured tibia. He's in a temporary long leg splint and not allowed to walk on it. We are supposed to see an orthopedic specialist on Monday. He'll probably get a real cast and I doubt if he'll be released to walk on it. We'll see. He has been such a trooper throughout this whole thing so far.

Halfy Birthday Clara!!
Clara turned 6 months on Friday. She is growin, movin' and groovin'. She weighed 16 lb 1 oz (50%) and was 26" long (75%). She is still a very happy and content baby. Not really sleeping through the night anymore. Not sure what happened there, but we're working on it. She started rice cereal about a week ago and loved it. She has now moved on the squash. Yum!!
She is VERY active. She is trying to crawl!!! She can sit up unsupported very briefly, but is more interested in flinging herself forward and trying to "crawl."

Happy Birthday Sam!!
Five years ago our lives changed forever. This (very) little boy came into our lives in a whirlwind and it hasn't slowed down since.
He is kind to his friends, brother & sister. He loves to read books and play outside. And he is pretty witty and smart in my unbiased opinion. Happy birthday Sambo!!

March Update
Okay, so blogger is driving me nuts with its formatting. I don't know what they changed, but I don't like it. Everything is out of order and I don't have time to mess with it any longer :)
