April 2011

Some of Sam's artwork. He really loves to draw. The piece in the middle was on display at the Fort Worth Library.

March 2011

Frosty February

I cannot remember the exact details, but we had 2 significant snowfalls in a 2 week period for a total of 5 snow days. I can't even remember having 2 snow days in a row when I was growing up , and they were usually for ice, not snow. In the first storm, mom and kids were home from school for 4 days straight with temps below freezing the whole time. It was too cold to really get out and enjoy the snow. After 2 days, the cabin fever set in, so we carefully made field trips down the road to Target and the museum.

I made this snowman with some co-workers on top of the parking garage on our lunch hour :)

We tried to go sledding down the parking garage, but security would not let us.

Sam's first time ice skating at the Galleria with Daddy before going back to school.

We always look forward to the stock show. We got free admission this year with our museum membership, so we went twice! And we enjoy using our zoo membership as much as we can. Especially when its not 100 degrees out :)

Enjoying a nice day at the park

Christmas 2010

We had a very nice Christmas, just staying around home. Ollie and Clara each got new bikes. Sam got a Leapster and Glowstation. Everyone got new books and plenty of other toys.

Sam's costume that he came up with on his own

The week after Christmas, we spent 2 days and 1 night at the Great Wolf Lodge with Kiki, Poppy and the Kennedys. Everyone had a great time at their indoor waterpark!! It was, however, still a little chilly if you ask mom :)

Ollie's 3rd Birthday

Ollie turned 3 on Dec 21, 2010. We (Ollie, Sam, Daddy and Mommy) spent the morning at the Gaylord Texan Resort. We went sledding on the snow hills and saw the Charlie Brown Christmas Ice Exhibit. It was a blast! I think all that sledding wore these boys out!!

After we got Clara and returned home, Ollie got to open his present from us. A scooter of his very own!!

Later that afternoon, we were joined by more family to join in the celebration with pizza (Ollie's favorite) and chocolate cake (also Ollie's favorite).

Christmas Joy?

Well, I just love this picture. This was from our trip to the mall Santa. Neither Ollie or Sam ever cried for Santa, but I knew Clara would. She is not that crazy about regular strangers let alone bearded ones.
This was taken at Sam's school. He looks HUGE in this picture!

This was taken at a Toys For Tots event at Ridglea Village. Ollie doesn't look thrilled in this picture, but thats because the sun was in his eyes, he enjoyed talking to Santa. They even let him sit on this reindeer afterwards. Very cool!
