Happy 1st Birthday Clara Mae!!

Our baby girl is ONE!! Everyone always says it, but I really can't believe it. We're done with bottles (for good!!) and she is now a toddler. Over the past month she has worked very hard on walking. As soon as she would fall down, she just gets right back up and keeps going. Come to think of it, I don't really ever see her crawl anymore. She is still so happy. She is waving hi and goodbye. She is starting to enjoy sitting still (most of the time) to read a book. She has always been a good sleeper and is down to one nap a day most days. She loves getting right in there and playing with her brothers. She eats anything and everything you put in front of her. Her trademark is scrunching her nose and breathing heavily in and out through her nose, its pretty funny! She has 5 very prominent teeth that people are always commenting on. Tony says they look like chickletts :) Overall, just a sweet and happy girl that we could not imagine our lives without. We enjoyed a small family party at our house.

We tried a new bakery and it was awesome. The cake was just what I wanted and it was DELICIOUS too!!

Fall Fun

October was filled with lots of fun, especially outdoors due to the enjoyable weather. We made our annual visit to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch ( www.flowermoundpumkinpatch.com ) and a good time was had by all. This was Clara's first visit (out of the womb).

Clara has been busy learning to walk and get into all kinds of trouble. Ollie is just as jolly as ever. And Sam is enjoying school very much and working hard on his reading. And I am enjoying my new part-time gig so I am able to drop Sam off and pick him up after school. Enjoy some pics.

Clara at 10 months

Yes, I realize I just did this for her 9 months, but I am pretty proud that I am actually doing this on THE day!
Clara is growing up so fast. She is cruising around and crawling very fast these days, particularly when I pick her up from daycare. She is definitely a mamma's girl right now and still apprehensive around people she doesn't see everyday. Just over the past week, she has become a more adventurous eater with table foods. I haven't come across any food, jar or table that she won't eat. Hope that continues. She is getting more adventurous playing with her brothers, too. She laughs at the crazy stuff they do and likes to wrestle with them. She and Ollie take baths together pretty frequently, but have only had all 3 of them in the tub together once.

Off to Kindergarten

Well, my little boy started school today. He was very excited to meet new people and start something new. He was not nervous in the least. Mom, however, was not so calm. I did cry a little, but not until I got home from dropping him off. He was so excited telling me all about his day. You could definitely tell he'd been sitting still most of the day. He did not stop moving for like 10 min as he told me everything.
Sam: "We had art class today. But, we just talked about rules. They should call it rule class."

Our Summer Vacation - Inlet Beach, FL

We enjoyed a 9 day trip to Inlet Beach for a family wedding. We rented a big house w/ Kiki, Poppy and all the Kennedys. We enjoyed mornings at the beach,naps midday, afternoons at the pool, Wii in the evenings and baths in the "washing machine." One highlight of the week was going on a pirate cruise. The week ended with Heather and Scotts' beautiful wedding on the beach.

The kids loved the beach. Unfortunately, due to her nap schedule and not feeling her best that week, Clara only got to go to the beach once. But she mostly just ate sand anyway!

Clara at 9 Months

Well, I am late again. But, at least I am doing it. Which is pretty good for the 3rd child, right?

Clara is such a joy. She is a happy girl. Although, she is definately not too keen on people she does not see on a daily basis. Needs a little time to warm up. Favorite place to be is in mommy's arms. She is crawling everywhere, pulling up alot and cruising a little. She had absolutely no teeth at 8 months, and now has 5 teeth coming in at various stages! She weighs 18 lb 8 oz (50%) and is 29" long (90%).
We left for our vacation to the beach the day she turned 9 months. She did great for the 15 hr drive there and back. But...she started running really high fevers toward the end of our trip. Her temps got up to 105.1 at its highest. But, she had absolutely no other symptoms. They discovered she has a urinary tract infection. She started on an antibiotic and has had no more fever, thank goodness. But, that was her first "sick visit" to the doctor in her whole life so far. Not bad.
